Reading, Pennsylvania, February 22, 2001 We Managed Servers, the Managed Service Provider division of Dynamic Net, Inc., announced the offering of security audits and server vulnerability analysis as part of its managed service provider offerings.

More and more companies are reporting down time and lost revenues due to hackers getting into systems that should have otherwise been more secure.

A survey done by ZDNet Sm@art Planet (http://www.zdnet.com/sp/stories/news/0,4538,2562075,00.html) had the following results:

• Two-thirds (67%) of solutions-provider customers are concerned with the security of ASPs.
• Solutions providers report an average of 8% of their customers experienced theft of data or trade secrets last year.
• Over half of solutions providers suspect that the customers' own employees (55%), and computer hackers, crackers and terrorists (54%) were the cause of some of their customers' security problems last year. Forty-two percent suspect customers' former employees.
• One-third (34%) of solutions providers receive security-related calls from customers on a monthly basis. One-quarter (26%) receives calls weekly. Solutions providers report that among customers' top security concerns are data theft and extortion (37%), intrusion detection and attacker identification (31%), protecting internal systems (16%) and viruses (16%).
