Local Area Company Helps Calm Growing Internet Security Concerns
Reading, Pennsylvania, July 20, 2001, the support department receives an email from the Michelle Wilbers, CEO of WhatHelps.com, Inc. hosted with a well known Texas data center asking We Manage Servers to install a
critical Microsoft security patch on two of its Windows 2000 servers.

“Our support department has identified an IIS exploit which has the potential to affect a large number of our customers using Windows 2000 or Windows NT with IIS server.” well known

We Manage Server’s technical support team was happy to inform Michelle Wilbers that security patch MS01-033 was applied to both of her servers on June 19, 2001 (within 24 hours of its release from Microsoft
Corporation). The data center notified its customers 31 days after the patch was released by Microsoft Corporation.
